Cuisine Italian
- 1 loaf baguette
- 2 heads garlic
- 1-2 tbsp olive oil
- 75 g unsalted butter
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- chopped parsley
Preheat the oven to 205°C.
Chop the tops of the garlic heads off. Place them on a baking tray lined with aluminium foil.
Wrap the garlic in aluminium foil. Make sure it's sealed tightly to retain the moisture.
Roast the garlic for 30-40 minutes until soft.
Squeeze out the roasted garlic cloves into a bowl.
Add in unsalted butter, salt, and pepper. Mash them altogether until well combined.
Slice the baguette into half.
Scoop half of the garlic butter mixture onto the cut side of one piece of bread, and spread it evenly across with a butter knife or spatula. Repeat for the other piece of bread.
Broil the bread until toasted (about 5 minutes).
