Prepare the ingredients. Slice the red onion vertically into thin slices, then slice it in half horizontally. Chop into cubes and mince it. Set aside.
Slice the chicken breast, and season it with salt and pepper. Steam over a pot of boiling water for 12-15 mins. Check if they are fully cooked by piercing a chopstick through the meat. If it goes through, then it’s done. Set aside and let cool.
Meanwhile, prepare the other vegetables. Thinly slice the tomatoes and chop the cucumber into small pieces. Tip: To remove the bitterness and veggie taste of cucumber, chop off the tips, then make several swirls on the cut-side until bubbly, and rinse the cucumber. Once the chicken breasts are cooled down, cut into small cubes.
In a large bowl, add in minced onions, chopped cucumbers, chicken breasts, and the homemade yogurt dill sauce. Mix to combine.
Slice the baguette in half, and pan-sear with some butter until golden brown.
To assemble, place few pieces of romaine lettuce at the bottom, then place sliced tomatoes on top. Layer the chicken dill salad over them, and top with extra chopped dill.
Cut the salad baguette in half, and enjoy!
