- Make the sandwich: Place a generous amount of cheese on another piece of bread, then close the sandwich with the brown sugar butter spread facing top.

- Cook the toast: Heat a frying pan over medium-low heat. Transfer the sandwich with the brown sugar butter layer facing down, then spread the remaining brown sugar butter evenly on the other piece of bread. Success tips on making caramelised cheese toast
Cook it low and slow.
The brown sugar butter caramelises quickly when heated, so be sure to cook over medium-low heat for even browning and avoid burning the toast.
Flip carefully.
After the first side is golden, flip carefully and quickly with a spatula to avoid the cheese from falling all over the place.
Serve immediately.
The caramelised shell stays crisp for about 5 minutes, otherwise the toast will harden as it cools.
How to store leftovers?
The toast is best enjoyed immediately after cooking when it’s still fresh and crispy. But you can store any leftovers in an airtight container. It will keep for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. Reheat in a pan to retain its crispiness.

With a crisp, caramelised shell giving way to a stretchy, savoury cheese pull, this caramelised cheese toast offers you moments of bliss in every bite. Whether you’re craving a quick snack, a lazy brunch, or a midnight treat, it’s the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes and indulge in happiness.
